Apulanta - a short bio
1991 Toni and Antti decide to form a band. Later they talk Sipe to buy drums and join them.
1992 An American exchange student Mandy becomes the bassist.
1993 The first EP: Mikä ihmeen Apulanta?.
Mandy has to go home and Tuukka grabs the bass.
1994 Tuttu TV:stä is out, Antti leaves.
1995 The first album Attack of the A.L. People doesn't fill the band's expectations, but
Hajonnut EP and the hit song "Mitä kuuluu" do.
1996 The album Ehjä sells gold and the success keeps on growing.
The hit single Anna mulle piiskaa is released and becomes the most sold single in Finland.
1997 Kolme-album hits number one on the Finnish chart.
"Hell on wheels" -tour and a long break.
1998 The first compilation: Singlet 1993-1997.
www.apulanta.fi is launched.
Teit meistä kauniin -single hangs 19 weeks at No 1.
Aivan kuin kaikki muutkin brings a bit more mature Apulanta.
1999 A joint project Torremolinos 2000 with Don Huonot.
2000 Plastik comes out hitting number one on the chart.
2001 Ten years and back to the roots: Heinola 10.
A jubileum-compilation: Syitä ja seurauksia - 30 parasta.
2002 First DVD: Liikkuvat kuvat.
First album in English: Apulanta.
Hiekka -album goes straight to number one as usual.
2003 A fan-edition of older material in English: Viper Spank.
